Blog, the sequel
So as to not have my blog be inundated with only Argentina information, I have created a second blog all about my upcoming South American adventures. Check it out if you are interested in South America, travel, Spanish, or anything else that might come out:

New Year's Resolutions
I have mixed feelings on new year’s resolutions. They can be a great way to start a new year. New year, new mantra—a fresh start, a feeling of renewal. After all, we don’t have that many years, so a new year is a rare opportunity in the scheme of our short lives. But by no means is the new year the only opportunity to create space for newness and that, I find, is the problem...

A recipe for a perfect 21st birthday:
1. The rockin’ mama who made it all happen
2. Amazing friends (of all ages!)
3. A belly dancer (no middle-eastern themed party would be complete without one!)
4. A sufficiently uncomfortable birthday serenade
5. And a whole lot of dancing!
Cheers to 21 and great nights with great people!

PROJECT RUNWAY OBSESSION
To all my PR-loving bloggers, who is going to win?
Back on the wagon, folks
Why I love today:
I woke up at 11 o’clock and not because I went to bed at 3 a.m. or because I couldn’t sleep during the night. Just good old fashioned sleeping in!
I cooked myself breakfast! After eating nearly all my meals in a cafeteria, homemade foodies—even just some scrambled eggs—are one of life’s greatest pleasures.
I spent an hour looking up party...

Yosemite National Park = incredible
Apparently Yosemite in the summertime is a pretty popular interest among Americans (and the rest of the world for that matter). And wow, do I understand! After spending 3-4 hours just trying to secure a place to lay our heads, we were fairly certain we would have to nix the plan. But luck came through and we landed in a nice little shack (if you could even call it that) in Yosemite Valley. ...
I miss my blog.
I really miss my blog. I miss taking the time to reflect on my daily activities. I miss writing. I miss having blog friends. Time to get things going again.

Ode to my roommates!
There are no words. You girls are divine. I miss this already.

Summertime
Here’s to a summer full of new adventures, new friendships, new places, new interests, and new lessons… A summer of rejuvenation, navigation, exploration, and foundations… A summer of taking chances, trusting instincts, and turning pages…. A summer of health and happiness… And most of all, a summer of change.
This is just the beginning.
Oh dear lord, if you could please wrongly deliver these beauts so they end up at my doorstep, that would be so greatly appreciated. I will put them on and never take them off. Except maybe to shower… maybe.
They remind me of a similar pair lent to me by an ever so gracious (and stylish!) Mrs. A in Miami…

No complaints Thursday!
How could I complain on a day like today given the following:
I “accidentally” did not wake up from my nap last night and ended up sleeping from 8:00 PM to 8:30 AM.
It was 85 degrees out and absolutely perfect.
Class was canceled.
I took the afternoon off work to study for my Spanish exam.
Enjoyed a “gummy bear picnic” in the grass.
Went bowling with my work buddies.
...
I lost two water bottles this week (neither of which I spent any money on, thankfully). I am truly pathetic.
On days like today, I do not want to get out of bed. I do not want to go to class, and I certainly do not want to go to work. I do not want to study for exams. I do not want to write a paper about unemployment rates and the dismal state of the economy. I do not want to attend a fundraiser. I do not want to check my phone or my email. I do not want to dry my hair or put on anything but my fuzzy...

A mantra every girl should follow! How is it that I find myself 20 years old, with check marks all the way down the list? I look at this list and think that I am either the luckiest girl in the world to have already met a person who makes me feel so loved and cared for, or that I am the unluckiest girl in the world to have already, at 20, met a person who makes me feel so loved and cared for...
Many thanks!
Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who came to see the show! To my mama, my dad, my aunt, my other aunt, my uncle, my cousin, my roommates, boyfriends of roommates, friends, acquaintances; to those who traveled many miles and to those who traveled only a few feet… It was so special to have so much love and support. THANK YOU!
Today I did my laundry. And I forgot to transfer it into the dryer. And now I have no sheets on my bed. Ooops.
Responsibility fail.
Things I love about my roommates:
In honor of having only 8 weeks left of living with my roommates, I am going to start a list of things I love about them. (Next year will be a similar housing setup, but Meghan and I will be abroad at opposite times.)
They pick flowers to bring home.
How to learn Spanish...?
So, remember when I did not blog anything about the musical I am in? Oops! Well, it starts on Thursday! And I am happy to say, we are so ready. It is going to be fantastic and I cannot wait to post pictures and stories!
After getting home from a 5-hour rehearsal, stage makeup in full effect, my hair glued back with hairspray and bobby pins, still wearing pieces of my costume, foundation stained...
Thank goodness for mamas...
It was just one of those days. After a few weeks of feeling totally and completely outside of my self (yes, the space is intended) I finally broke down. I called up my mother, the only thing I know to do when I have a breakdown of this proportion, and just sobbed on the phone. For 38 minutes and 10 seconds I sobbed. (I said some words too.)
The best thing about talking to my mom is that she knows...
Foot update!
The banana method total worked! My plantar warts are gone! GONE!!!
In case you find yourself with plantar warts that just won’t go away, here is my au natural prescription:
Find or buy a foot file, bananas, and bandages
Soak feet (or I prefer to just take a long shower)
File skin over wart
Cut a small portion of the peel of banana and apply to feet with the inside face down on skin
