We went ALL OUT for our Lady GaGa party on Saturday and here is the result:
Ga ga, oh la la…
The grossest entry I will ever blog...
Leaving my pride outside the door, I am sharing some totally unnecessary information… I have plantar warts. I hate them and curse them every day. They are ugly and obnoxious and even slightly painful. And they spread like bunnies in springtime! I have done just about everything from over-the-counter and prescription medications, to the duct tape method, etc. Despite my overwhelming fear of...
Feeling like the luckiest girl in the world...
On Thursday I received a package, a package I was not at all expecting to receive. The package was addressed from Miss Kaye, who has been known to give extraordinary gifts. I shook the box a bit, elated just to have a box with my name on it! I could not have seen it coming, but in the package were these two beautiful garments…

I literally have a headache from laughing so hard…
I thought pomegranate season lasted through February!? So tell me why there were no pomegranates at the grocery store!?!?!?! But there was this case of delicious pomegranate seeds, so I bought them. And even though they cost a half hour’s wage, they are even more delicious when you do not have to peel them yourselves. And now I am a very happy girl.
Ariella: Do you know who is a really underrated sex icon?
All of us: Who?
Ariella: Hagrid.
NYE 2010: a memoir
You know how there are those days when everything goes completely UNaccording to plan? Of course you do and it is only fair that we all have a few now and then. After all, God likes to have his own fun, play a few practical jokes here and there. But New Years Eve is really not the time. Especially when you have planned a fantastic celebration for all of your best friends.
Let me just preface this...
You know how there are certain things in life that totally distract you from all the activities and responsibilities that are actually relevant to your life? For me this includes blogging, Facebook, cleaning, making cards, Stubleupon, and pluhhhhhenty of others. Now to be added to the official list is analyzing my brain activity via online brain surveys. I am not even joking you, I could do this...
Mother (I mean, the Mom) and Jess are officially Facebook friends. As long as I am the topic of conversation, I can’t complain…
If there is anything that encourages me to work out it is my new Lululemon workout shorts and matching headband, one of my eight Hanukkah gifts from Jess. (Being Jewish seriously pays off sometimes.) I have worn them for my past 4 workouts, which, I will admit, is actually kind of unhygienic.
Nice workout clothes are one of those things I usually talk myself out of buying. I sweat in them and...
I love this dress! So chic and simple!
Sidenote: Goldie Hawn, Kate’s mama, was my absolute favorite person when I was a little girl, solely because of my obsession with the movie The First Wives’ Club. (I am not sure how normal it is for an 8-year-old’s favorite movie to be about menopausal women…?) Also, my uncle totally went on a date with Miss Hawn in their youngin...
New Year's Resolution 2010
Get more sleep. AKA no need to blog at 3:30 in the morning, AKA I really should get offline right now.
Find time to be BORED. The term boredom gets such a bad rep! I have decided that being bored simply means making time to do nothing. And not being stressed about doing nothing. I have a feeling that this “bored time” is going to very quickly be replaced by “blog time”....
Lessons in how to make work into play:
Wear a crown and pretend to be a princess!
Seriously.
Bon voyage!
The beautiful American girl on the left has made it safely to Paris, where she will spend the next 4 months soaking up the magic of the Parisian lifestyle, hopefully so much that she can bring some magic back in May! Mademoiselle Amanda has been one of my best friends since day -14 of high school when we both tried out for the tennis team. It was love-all from there on out! GIRL, I already miss...
Can you guess what this is?
Now turn these snowmen and reindeer into Choos and Louboutins and call it a wonderland…
What's up life?
So I am pretty sure it has been about a month since I last blogged… maybe longer. Despite the passing of 1/12 of a year, not all that much has happened! I did have a totally, magnificent 6 weeks off of school, during which time I visited San Francisco, worked 5 jobs (including Christmas tree manufacturer customer service representative), spent QT with amigos, spent SUPER QT with my mama, and...
Okay, it’s officially time for my blogging sabbatical to be over.
P.S. The word sabbatical comes from the word “sabbath”. Who knew!?
