On days like today, I do not want to get out of bed.
I do not want to go to class, and I certainly do not want to go to work.
I do not want to study for exams.
I do not want to write a paper about unemployment rates and the dismal state of the economy.
I do not want to attend a fundraiser.
I do not want to check my phone or my email.
I do not want to dry my hair or put on anything but my fuzzy robe.
On days like today, I want to curl up with a glass of tea.
I want to read for pleasure.
I want to make cards for no reason and send them to everyone I love.
I want to journal.
I want to listen to music that makes me think.
I want to go through old pictures and laugh at myself.
Days like today are important because they remind us that sometimes less is more, that sometimes it is alright to do nothing, and that sometimes, even the sun needs a break.
